Prerequisites

Basic skill requirements: You should be able to: Generate PWS reports. Perform PWS fill analysis. Create and maintain basic SCS carrier records. Create and manage FEPS planning designs and allocation strategies. Basic knowledge requirements: You should have a basic understanding of: Digital and optical transmission systems. Subsystem interrelationships (i.e., GOC, C1, F1, E1, FEPS, SCS and PWS). Purpose of circuit and carrier system routing and allocation. How SCS events are established, selected and maintained. Purpose and effect of the SCS "WORK" command. The Telcordia Interoffice Facility Current Planning (IFCP), Facility & Equipment Planning System  I (FEPS-I) and Problem Solving with the FEPS Planning Workstation (FEPS-PWS) courses are recommended to satisfy the skill and knowledge requirements.
