Granite Inventory Data Structure

Overview

The Granite Inventory Client lets you enter and view information through a series of panes and panels. Within each pane or panel, a group of fields, lists, or tables will be used to submit and review data. In addition, there are certain programmatic functions that can be performed upon Granite Inventory data (such as customized validation checking) by manipulating the data as it is stored in the Oracle database. Through Instructor-led training with hands-on activities, this course will discuss the Granite Inventory database structure and hierarchy. In addition, the Core System schemas and their respective table and field names will be shown. Navigation through the User Client application screens and how to create modify, and delete Database objects is also covered. Course Aim To give the delegates a comfort level in understanding the data architecture of database tables and fields with in the Granite Inventory Application.

  • Understand the Granite Inventory objects and hierarchy and the core system database tables and field names.
  • Create sites, customers, equipment, segments, cables and paths objects in the Granite Inventory User Client.
  • Use simple SQL statements to retrieve the information from the user client.
