Ask Your Equipment Suppliers for a Copy of Their Telcordia Technical Analysis Report

Telcordia provides indirect benefits to Service Providers through its network element supplier technical analysis services, which is testing paid for by the equipment supplier.

Telcordia network element supplier technical analysis can provide a "front-end" to the your product selection process, helping to:

  • Identify problems with Access supplier equipment before you invest your resources in evaluating the product
  • Reduce the risk of network incompatibility with existing and evolving network elements
  • Provide a third party objective analysis of the product (report available to you from the equipment supplier)

Additional Service Provider benefits includes:

  • No direct cost to you (i.e., equipment supplier-funded)
  • Opportunities to influence testing scope and focus through "3rd party participation"
  • Receive early results through Telcordia/Supplier Readout Meetings

Service provider 3rd party participation allows a service provider to be involved in every step along the way of a formal test, from planning to interim readouts, from observation of testing to early access to draft reports. This type of involvement requires the approval of the network element equipment provider. The approval is formally documented as part of the equipment supplier's testing services contract with Telcordia.

A conceptual relationship between the Telcordia network element supplier technical analysis process and a service provider's internal testing (associated with its product selection process) is illustrated below.
